Destiny Addis Apartment Hotel

The rooms were awful. The windows were held shut with sellotape, the beds were extremely hard, the bedding and sheets were dirty, and the bathroom was unhygienic. Breakfast was terrible and limited, there was no cutlery, and the tea came cold. Getting any service was a struggle. I had to scream, shout, and even throw tantrums just to get help. The location is bad, and I'm unhappy with everything about this hotel. I'd recommend shutting it down.

I spent one night between flights. The staff were the best part, friendly, courteous, and always ready to help. The hotel is tucked down a side street, which is a bit unusual, but it's fairly close to the airport and has a shuttle bus, so I gave the location credit for that. The room was spacious and comfortable, though the bed let it down. It was so hard and uncomfortable that I wondered if I was on a mattress or just a box spring. Still, I'd recommend the hotel for its location and helpful staff.

The shower was an icy trickle in the morning, exactly what I didn't need. The beds were extremely hard, the towel was ragged, and there were no plugs on the bedside lamps. We got just one small bottle of water. We waited an hour for dinner, despite having to get up at 5 for our next flight after arriving around 10 in the evening. We were booked here in transit. Please don't stay here, it was the worst place I've had to stay.

The cleanliness was good, and the night manager did his best. But the mattress was so uncomfortable that sleeping on the floor would have been better. As a hotelier, I'd urge them to pay closer attention to the food, details, and staff training.
