P6 Budget Hotel

P6 is a well-kept, beautiful building, and the staff are wonderful. The hotel is elegant, clean, and comfortable, and I could relax in my room without hearing noise from other rooms or smelling anything odd. It’s also in a nice spot for exploring the city on foot. I’d recommend staying here if you’re after a quality stay.

For 500 Birr a night, the rooms are a very affordable and convenient option in Addis. They’re always clean, and the service is adequate. There’s also a small cafe nearby if you feel like ordering food. One minor inconvenience is that they might not have a towel during winter.

The shower was hot and had good pressure every time I used it, which I haven’t found consistently even at expensive hotels in Ethiopia. The food is reasonably priced, with plenty of Western and Ethiopian dishes, and the room service was excellent. Staff were very helpful during my week-long stay on my third visit to Ethiopia. I first found this lovely place on my second visit, when I spent my last night there before returning to England. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Megenagna, with lots of shops, and the bus station and light rail stop are right there too. It seems to be better known among locals than tourists, but it’s a real gem and definitely worth it. I’ll stay again on my next trip.

A quiet, clean place to get some good rest. Good value for the price.
