The food was top notch, with freshly prepared meals to choose from. They also make excellent coffee and delicious smoothies. The welcoming, friendly staff were lovely. It’s a five-minute drive from the airport and within walking distance of the busy Bole Mikael suburb.

The bar and restaurant have been renovated, and they’re amazing. This used to be a great place to stay, though it seems to have lost some of its appeal for some reason. The hotel is now used by a certain kind of people, but I don’t know whether that should be a concern.

The restaurant waiters were especially amazing, and the rooms were nice and spacious. The bathroom hot water was unlike any I’ve had at other hotels in Ethiopia. We paid 1,400/night, below the average hotel price in Addis. Amazing place, and I’d definitely come back.

We had two rooms, and both had problems: the shower was broken in one, while the toilet in the other wouldn't flush. The lights also seemed to work by some mystery rule. Despite being right beside a very busy road leading to the airport, the hotel was quiet indoors.

Lunch can get busy at the restaurant above the lobby, where the food is generally good quality. The hotel also has a separate meat restaurant on the side. It tends to be packed except during Orthodox Christian fasting seasons.
