The small garden was a nice place to get some fresh air and relax with a drink. I spent two nights at Bet Daniel Hotel in Bahir Dar, and the rooms were comfortable and well maintained. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. A receptionist carefully walked me through the room options, and I later saw her working as a waiter at Jacaranda. Her dedication and service impressed me. The shuttle to and from the airport was reliable. I did have a problem with insects, or "bimbi": even with the mosquito net, I was bitten and wondered how they got through. Breakfast was good enough, though not exceptional and could be improved. The stay was comfortable, with great staff and reliable service. Fixing the insect issue and improving breakfast would make it an even stronger choice.

The staff were ready to help at every turn, which was the best part of my stay. It's a new, nice hotel with enclosed parking, and my hot shower actually worked, unlike at some of the high-end places in Barhir Dar. The rooms are on the small side. Just be aware that "air conditioning" means there's a fan in the room.

The location is good, but the service problems made for a very bad stay. The bathroom light was out and the staff couldn't fix it, and my shower never had hot water. The pillows had no pillowcases, and the bedsheets weren't clean. All of that really affected my experience.

It's a decent hotel in Bahidar City, close to Lake Tana and within walking distance, though a little off the main street. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and there are plenty of TV channels. Wi-Fi is free, the staff are friendly, and there's a complimentary shuttle to and from the airport.

I especially enjoyed the spa, and the central location is a plus. The hotel is clean, the staff are helpful, and there's car parking. I'll definitely come back.
