Unison Hotel and Spa

I came in wanting to unwind from the stress of the week with a Swedish massage. Instead, the massage left me tired, angry, disappointed, and frustrated. They applied oil to my body for no more than 25 minutes and then it was over. I doubt they know what a Swedish massage means, and it felt like they didn't know what massage is at all. In more than 13 years of getting massages, this is the first time I've been this disappointed. The spa itself looked like the back of a kitchen, with no soothing atmosphere. The spa receptionist was unfriendly and seemed to be rushing me out so the next person could come in. I would never recommend this place to anybody. Keep away, guys, it's a waste of time and a place of disappointment. I'm giving 1 star only because there isn't a negative option. Literally, I'd give it -5 Star.

I visited Unison Hotel Spa last week and found the hospitality disappointing. The service was rude and unprofessional, well below expectations. I also noticed some spa towels meant for body use seemed to have been reused for polishing shoes, which raises serious hygiene concerns. I can't recommend the spa to others.

My wife, daughter, and I came to Bahirdar from Seattle and booked two nights at Unison. We liked the location and the customer service so much that we extended our stay to 4 nights. The included breakfast was decent, and we had a great experience. It's one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Ethiopia.

The conference rooms' names and the history displayed in those rooms and on other floors were good, and the breakfast was the best as ethiopia 🇪🇹 original. But overall, we were disappointed and wouldn't recommend this hotel. We stayed in the guest house and there were almost no kitchen utensils to feed our kids. We kept asking for them, but nobody provided any. Customer service was poor, and there were too many mosquitoes at night with no effort to control them. One night, our bathroom was sophisticated with a smoking smell coming in from outside.
