Naava Chalet

We stayed in room 203 and found it much more spacious than the photos made it look. There was room to spare, especially after moving some of the larger furniture. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable, even better than the regular beds. One downside was the living room shades, which don’t block the light and meant an early wake-up. The kitchen was well equipped, and having a sauna and laundry made it a good setup for a few days. Naava Chalets is also right across the road from the main entrance to Ähtäri's Zoo, so the location is hard to beat.

The resort was nice, but it really needs air conditioning.

The surroundings were beautiful, and the apartments were wonderful.

The apartment was gorgeous and seemed fairly new, with big balconies and lovely views. The building felt cozy and safe, and the lighting was great throughout, though the bedroom lights couldn’t be dimmed very much. In the second bedroom there were no closets, bedside tables, or night lamps. It was also odd having to walk through a bedroom to get to the sauna. We could hear noise from neighboring apartments pretty clearly, so the soundproofing wasn’t great. Still, there’s a lot nearby: a nice spa where we went for a morning swim, the animal park, a beach, and trails for walking or skiing. A good place for a family or a group of friends.
