There's room for the hotel to offer more services, especially for visitors from Europe looking for nature and a relaxing holiday. I heard it has new owners, so good luck to them, and I hope they advertise the place in European countries. The setting is beautiful, and the rooms are spacious enough, with a terrace or balcony. The restaurant could use a little color update since it feels a bit dark and brown.

The food was good, and the resort can pamper foreign visitors and arrange guides to help them explore the region and experience the Nordic lifestyle. The newer Halla Resort Villas are a must, with plenty of space and privacy, modern comforts, and an authentic Finnish feel. They're extremely comfortable and well equipped. The hotel is a great base for exploring Finnish Lakeland, with Lake Saimaa as the area's largest lake.

The hotel has a nice setting, though the views depend on the room, since some face a concrete wall. There's an excellent gym and a fairly large indoor pool, plus you can swim in the lake in summer. Breakfast includes local options, and some rails leave right from the hotel.

The team were so kind, and the food and service were amazing. We spent five nights at Anttolanhovi during our seven-night trip around Finland and loved our stay. We'll definitely come back, hopefully soon!

It's in a good spot, with lovely forest and lake surroundings, but the hotel and rooms are very old and really need renovation. Breakfast had a poor selection and wasn't very good. The only restaurant was expensive and low quality.
