2ndhomes Tampere Areena Apartment

I booked the apartment myself, which worked well for us, and paid for a different place farther away. Only later did I notice that I'd been refunded just €60 from the original reservation. They said they'd missed the cancellation instructions and apologized for not refunding the full amount. I was also told the cancellation had been made free of charge, so I still don't understand why I wouldn't get all my money back. Earlier, I was told that three people had stayed in the apartment and that I owed €35. Nobody had even visited, let alone stayed overnight, and when I asked what that claim was based on, I got no answer. I normally receive an invitation to review the apartment or host after a stay, but this time nothing came, so I'm writing here instead. In past years, it was great to be able to pay an extra fee to move check-in earlier or later. Last year our reservation was cancelled and we were given other accommodation. This year, we wanted to attend IskelmäGaala near Nokia Arena, because last year I slipped in freezing weather on the way back toward the apartment after the Gala. But the new "Silta" booking was unexpectedly cancelled less than a month before the event, for reasons I still don't know. The closest available apartment was 1.3 km from Nokia Arena, yet the cancelled one can now be booked, so somebody else was allowed to stay close to the Gala? We've already booked tickets for the 2026 Gala. With more than 9,000 people coming, many needing a place to stay, what happens if there's another last-minute cancellation and we can't find accommodation nearby?

We ended up changing accommodation partway through our stay. You could hear the terraces, people smoking in the street, and traffic very clearly inside, which was a problem at least on a summer weekend. There was no ventilation, and we couldn't air the place out with a cross-draft.

The company offers furnished apartments in Tampere, and the service was great. Really great service.
