There's a small shop and cafeteria at reception where you can get food and other things, and the guesthouses have nearly luxurious equipment: comfortable, if a little narrow, beds, clean and tidy apartments with TV and power plugs, plus a sauna you can book ahead. It's a hidden treasure in the middle of nowhere, especially handy for getting ready to hike Hetta-Pallas. Better marketing might help it flourish, though I wonder if it would stay as authentic. The service was warm and kind throughout our stay. It seems to be run by an older couple who have put a lot into making the place what it is. They were helpful and we really appreciated the care. Strongly recommended.

The rooms are pretty good for what you pay, and fresh linens are provided. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in is available until 21, and you can buy some essentials at the cafeteria from 9-21. Breakfast and lunch are offered, though sometimes you need to tell them in advance if you want breakfast. Prices seemed a bit high for somewhere this far away.

Stayed one night in a camper van. The parking area was roomy, the service friendly, and the lake is only a short walk away with a great view.

It's a beautiful setting, and everything was clean and pleasant, with lots of services. Just be ready for plenty of mosquitoes since it's so close to the swamp. Washing costs 10 Eur, which felt too expensive to me.

We arrived and saw two people sitting inside. We looked at each other, then I knocked once and they closed the blinds. I called the number on the door and was told the place was closed.
