The free sauna is the main draw for me. You can book it for an hour, and it’s a great way to enjoy a Finnish sauna. Rooms are warm, beds are comfortable, and there’s a kitchenette for making your own meals. The rooms are a reasonable size, though the bathrooms are small. It’s quiet here, which I personally like. Breakfast is excellent if you’re not vegetarian. Room cleaning only happens every four days. The place feels more like an apartment than a hotel, so don’t expect lots of hotel facilities. Still, it’s a good budget option if you’re mainly coming for the sauna.

The staff were professional and really friendly, the shared areas were clean, and there was enough room for luggage. The bedding was comfortable too. But the room itself had poor ventilation and a very small bathroom, and I could hear people through the kitchen vent as well as noise from the walls and ceiling. The soap and shampoo smelled strongly of chemicals. Breakfast was bland, and coffee in the lounge costs 2 euros. Staff don’t empty the room bins. There aren’t any places to eat nearby, so this isn’t a good choice for business travellers who don’t have time to cook during a short stay.

The room had a living area, bedroom, and kitchen, with a peaceful forest view. Parking for guests was free and separate, and the laundry machines and dryers were free to use. Printing was available too. Breakfast was nice, and the hotel was about 30% cheaper than other places in Helsinki. I’d recommend staying here, though I wish they’d been a little more flexible during Covid.

The furniture and some parts of the hotel could use renovation, and the elevator smelled. Still, the beds were the softest, breakfast was nice, and guests could book a private sauna for an hour each day. The staff were friendly, though rooms aren’t cleaned daily.

Free parking, reasonable prices, and a clean, peaceful stay. The furniture’s a little scuffed, but we had no trouble bringing our dog. I’d happily come back. There’s no pool, though. :c
