The house had everything we needed, and I was very happy with the space inside. The heating system is advanced, so we didn’t have to worry about the cold, and the outdoor views were lovely. The owner was kind and friendly, and walked us through the facilities in detail. The surroundings are beautiful and feel like an ideal place to stay. Driving to the city center takes about 10 to 15 minutes, and there’s no need to worry about safety. It was my first time in Rovaniemi, Finland, and I was captivated by the houses around me. If I get the chance, I’ll rent here again and look forward to a summer trip.

We loved our first family trip to Rovaniemi and felt warmly welcomed by the lovely owners when we arrived. They’d put in thoughtful extras for Christmas Day, including a little gift for the family, a Christmas tree, and homemade cakes that tasted amazing. The well-kept chalet was cosy and warm, close to what we needed, and had two double beds that worked well for our family of five, plus a travel cot for our young child. There were toiletries, towels, bedding, a hair dryer, and a washing machine, which made packing from home easier. We saw the Northern Lights from the window twice, and the surroundings are absolutely beautiful. You can use the sauna, though we didn’t because we had a small child; I saw plenty of great reviews from others about it. The owners also have sledges for children, and the TV has Netflix. I’d happily recommend the chalet and return if we visit again.

We were able to use the sauna whenever we wanted, and even take a snowmobile for a test ride. The river-facing windows also gave us the luck of seeing the Northern Lights twice. The two owners put so much heart into making the stay special, and the accommodation went well beyond what we expected. All in all, outstanding!
