Findomik Cottages

The cottage itself felt fairly new, with clean surfaces and good materials. The bed was comfortable for one of us, though too hard for the other, and the sauna, roomy shower area, and clean, working toilet were all good. But the place was freezing and took ages to warm up. The fireplace smoked and couldn't heat the room, so we spent a long time cold that evening, and the sauna also heated slowly. There were several dead flies on the floor, and the electric door key only worked after a few tries. Check-in was oddly late. Beforehand I asked whether the cottage was for couples or for one person, but never got an answer. Communication with the renters kept breaking down, and at first they sent an invoice with the wrong total. We were disappointed to find it was a couple's cottage, then even more so when a group of young people on the other side of the wall partied at an awful volume until nearly six in the morning. The terrace was shared with them without any partition, so we didn't dare use it. I had also checked in advance that the DVD player worked, and was told it did. It wasn't connected to the TV, and once we got it connected, our DVD still wouldn't play because the device was registered to another region, even though the disc works at home. At 200€/night, the service didn't feel worth the price.
