Kokoushotelli Sofia

I was there in August and adored it. My room had a balcony looking out at the sea, and the beach was just a few moments away. I’m a 45-year-old man who traveled alone, and I was so happy to be there ❤️ First time in Finnland, and I loved it. The area is fantastic. Thank you, Finnland! There’s a lovely mix of nature, culture, spirituality, and city life here. Set in the middle of a nature reserve by the sea, it’s within walking distance of a beach, ridge, and forest. The city centre is about 30 minutes away by car, while the metro is a 20 minute walk or a short ride by car or bus. This hidden Helsinki gem is a former bank training centre turned cultural centre and hotel, with a spiritually sublime atmosphere. Rates are relatively low, and there’s a restaurant, sauna, and swimming pool. A nice place to host an event or simply come and enjoy.

The location is gorgeous, with a wonderful view of the gulf and forest in the morning. My room was comfortable, clean, and neat, and the service was great. They even called to ask when I’d arrive to check in. The breakfast was adorable and very tasty. It’s a three-star hotel, but for a short getaway you’re only spending an evening and a night there. I agree it’s the best place for the value. If you’re planning a little getaway, go ahead and book it.

The setting is perfect, right by the sea and in the forest, and breakfast was satisfying. The hotel is religious, so keep that in mind when booking. The service was poor. There’s no room service, some staff weren’t very friendly or helpful, and the WiFi was horrible in some rooms. The rooms and bathrooms didn’t feel inviting and seemed very old.
