2ndhomes Cozy studio in Kluuvi

This is about 2ndhomes as a company, and may not reflect the particular apartment, which we booked as "2ndhomes Loft Apartment with Spa & Balcony by the White Church." We were left outside at 10:30pm because the key code they sent never worked, despite repeated attempts. Their supposed emergency line didn’t answer, so we had to find a hotel. It was the worst apartment stay I’ve had. At the 2ndhomes office the next day, staff said the code was right and that we hadn’t called. We showed them a video of us entering the code and a screenshot of our call. They said they needed to look into it, but couldn’t investigate before the following Monday, three days later. We had booked two nights. They said the apartment could be used for night two, but there would be no refund if we didn’t take it. I offered to stay if they repaid the first night and the modest extra hotel cost. They refused, so we spent the second night in a hotel too. The booking was due to start Thursday 28 September; it’s now Tuesday 3 October and the money issues are still unresolved. We’ve had no deposit returned, no refund for either apartment night, and nothing for the extra hotel costs. I wish I’d read earlier reviews before booking. We’re deeply disappointed and saddened by what happened, especially since Finnish culture is known for mutual trust and respect. In my view, this is a scam operation. If Finnish police or tourist authorities see this, please investigate.

There’s no service or reception, and you have to collect the key from an office 2 km from the house. Good luck finding the place and getting the doors open. I wouldn’t recommend it to first-time visitors. Even once you reach the center, the directions are confusing: go 1-1.5 km right from the center, then another 3-4 km the other way. With luggage, you’re in trouble.
