Hotel St. George Helsinki

I had a wonderful stay and can't think of anything negative about the hotel. The pool and sauna were lovely, and the lift makes it easy to get around if you have limited mobility. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, with hot and cold options and as much coffee as you can drink. The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The fresh juices were my favorite part of the breakfast buffet, some of the best fruit juice we'd had. The spread wasn't huge, but everything was fresh and delicious. Staff were super friendly and professional, and helped with our special requests. Of the three hotels we stayed at in Finland, this was the best so far. It's easy to get around from here. The tram station is nearby, and you can walk from the central station. Stockmann is close too, and its food market is great. Definitely recommend it.

The spa was the highlight for us. We went every day and loved the pool, sauna, steam room, and cold plunge. It was peaceful and relaxing, a great way to disconnect. We couldn't get a massage booking, so I'd suggest booking ahead. We got engaged during our stay at Hotel St. George, and the hotel made the whole occasion even lovelier. The staff were professional and helpful, and made everything easy. We arrived early, and the receptionist went out of her way to change our room number so we could check in right away. They also booked a great taxi for our departure. Room service was quick and tasty, so we ordered it two nights. The design makes it feel like every detail has been considered. The bathroom amenities included toothbrushes, vanity kits, shaving kits, shampoo, conditioner, and more. There was also an ironing board and iron, a soda-stream, a TV with streaming, and a good range of easy-to-use light settings. We'd absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Helsinki.

I worked from my room easily, with strong WiFi for Zoom meetings, and will likely stay here again when I return. The St George was recommended by a colleague for my week-long business trip because it's within walking distance of the office. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable, but ask for a higher floor, since first-floor rooms are at street level and can be noisy. I recommend including the spa and breakfast in the rate. The massage I booked was a perfect experience, and dining at the hotel will serve you well. I reviewed the dining experience separately. One odd thing: there was a large wardrobe but no drawers for my socks and underwear.
