The price feels like a hotel rate, but the stay felt more like an Airbnb. The shower was tiny, the breakfast buffet didn't feel up to a four-star standard, and the room wasn't cleaned daily. The bathroom wasn't cleaned either. Since COVID, hotels seem to have become lazy about daily cleaning. It wasn't worth the money.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was good. Being able to borrow umbrellas was a really welcome touch. I had trouble controlling the air conditioning, though, and couldn't open the room window. There also wasn't a sauna at the hotel.
The Lux room had a small kitchen, which came in handy, and it was decorated with care and felt really cozy, like home. Hotel Fabian is also an easy walk from the city's main sights. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and served in a relaxed setting, and the staff made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it for a visit to Helsinki.
The small details made a difference for us as a family of five. We'd had connecting rooms at plenty of hotels, but here all our key cards opened both rooms, which made things much easier. The hotel, its location, and the staff were all fantastic. We had a wonderful few days exploring Helsinki. Thank you.
I found the price very reasonable for the comfort and location. My room was a relaxing place to come back to after exploring Helsinki, and getting around from Hotel Fabián was easy since the main sights were only a few minutes away on foot. The included breakfast was a highlight, with lots of tasty choices, including plenty for vegetarians, and excellent coffee. Everyone on staff was friendly and ready to help with questions or requests. A comfortable, convenient place with a great breakfast.
