We found a used bottle and some hair in the bathroom, so the room cleanliness was only mediocre and those details took away from the stay a bit. The staff, though, were kind and ready to help, and free luggage storage was very convenient. The location is a real strength for visiting Helsinki. It’s practical and works well for a night, but a few things could be improved to make the stay more pleasant.

The rooms are a little dated, but at this price they’re hard to beat. The beds were great, everything was clean, and the shower got nice and hot. Breakfast cost an extra 13€ for adults and 6,5€ for kids, with a good mix of sweet and savoury choices. There’s also a free sauna, with separate facilities for men and women. The location puts you right in the middle of everything. Staff were very friendly and welcomed us with a smile, gave us the tourist information we needed, and sent my boys off with a lollypop when we left 😉

The room was okay, though the sofa bed squeaked. Breakfast was really good, with lots of options for local and international tastes. Great spot in downtown Helsinki, right by a subway station and just a five-minute walk from the main train station.

The family room was roomy and comfortable, and breakfast was pleasant and good for kids. The hotel is well placed for trams and trains, and check-in and checkout both went smoothly. Staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks especially to the cleaning lady WAT, who shared some tips on nearby halal food.

My room felt like a sauna all night. The thermostat display stayed at 22°C and seemed pointless, while the thermometer I’d bought as a gift read 26°C. At least the water was drinkable. The windows don’t open, so the room was stuffy, and they don’t even have an ice machine. There was no light over the area where you need it, either. Guantanamo Bay was a better stay. The shower was missing its door, and a pipe from the room above kept leaking onto my bathroom floor.
