The Summer Café gave me a lovely taste of local food and culture. I really enjoyed the visit. If you're looking for a farm stay with a friendly family, this is the place. Highly recommend.

We had a delicious breakfast and were surrounded by animals in a beautiful rural setting. Such a wonderful place to stay in Ilomantsi, with warm, friendly service.

After a delicious breakfast, we were glad to set off again. Thank you, Anssila people! The view from the yard up to the top of Vaara is stunning, and you can even fit in a short jog through the lovely countryside. The people of the house are so nice and friendly, and it was easy to relax and chat with them. We enjoyed watching the happy Kyyttös and curious sheep, with a large dog and black cat wandering around too. One tip: Parppeinpirtti takeaway has really good value for money.

The rural evening was made even better by the warm barbecue. After a hard day, we had a comfortable place to stay and breakfast in the morning. The friendly host couple made us feel welcome right away.

We’ve now stayed at Anssila farm accommodation three times, and everything worked great again. The hostess made a delicious breakfast before we headed out to explore Ilomantsi. We’re hoping to come back next summer. Many thanks to the Anssila family.
