Wilderness Hotel Juutua

Full board was excellent, with buffet breakfast and lunch, plus a set three-course dinner. We stayed in an artic room overlooking the trees and frozen river. The restaurant really impressed us, and the hotel sits right next to the river. It was an easy walk through the snow to the Sami museum and into the village. We appreciated the snow clothing they provided, and service from all the staff was excellent. Loved this hotel!

I spent 5 days there on vacation at the end of February 2026, and everything was taken care of. The staff were incredible, gentle, and always ready to help. The food was five-star, the room was spectacular, and the organization and excursions were just as amazing. Everyone should see the northern lights once in their life. Amazing hotel, land, and people. Thanks a lot.

We had a great week at the hotel, staying in a standard room with full board and joining several activities. The food was very good: tasty breakfast and lunch buffets with plenty of choice, and good quality three-course dinners. Most staff were friendly and helpful. There are nice walks around the hotel, including the juutua trail, and two supermarkets and a souvenir shop are within walking distance. One plus of the standard room is its location in the main building, so we didn't have to go outside in the cold to get to the restaurant. The room was clean but very small and basic. For two people, there was just one chair, and housekeeping came every other day. I'd have liked a little more space by the bed for things like a phone or drink. There are no bedside tables, and the headboard has a groove, so things won't stay on top of it. Even with those minor room issues, we'd definitely recommend the hotel and would come back.

My daughter has ARFID, so eating somewhere unfamiliar can be really hard for her. The restaurant staff were thoughtful and accommodating, and seemed to understand without us needing to explain much. They carefully served the different parts of her meal separately, so she could try each food on its own and feel safe and in control. Their patience and kindness helped her move past her fears, and today she even tried reindeer for the first time. We're truly grateful. A big compliment to the team for making the restaurant so supportive and welcoming. You made a real difference for my daughter.
