GreenStar Hotel Joensuu

The free tea and coffee available around the clock were a real plus, and we also appreciated being able to use the washing machine and dryer at no extra cost after a morning barbecue. GreenStar is right in the center of Joensuu, so it was easy for my parents and me to get around during their four-day visit. There was one awkward issue: if you lose your key after office hours and have also left your phone inside, you may be stuck waiting for someone to open the door or trying to call the number by the elevator. It would be helpful if they added a phone for calling rooms or another way to get in.

The staff were the best part of our five-day work stay in Joensuu. When we ran into trouble with the check-in kiosk, they understood what had gone wrong and sorted it out quickly. They were lovely and professional, and we really appreciated their help. The location was great too. Our room felt cosy, and while the bathroom was small, it was comfortable and just right for us. The shower was very nice, with hot water coming through quickly.

After a long trip, I was glad to find a clean room, a comfortable bed, and a fresh, tidy bathroom. I was staying at GreenStar Hotel Joensuu for one night as a new student, arriving late, and the self check-in was easy to use. The instructions were clear, so getting settled was simple.

There’s a small kitchen corner for guests on the second floor, and reception has free tea and coffee all day and night. The rooms are roomy compared with standard hotels, and each one has a fridge and kettle. Clean, good-looking hotel.
