Hotel Kajaani

The hotel is close to the main parts of the city, and there’s a Prisma nearby. I found the rooms very cosy and the staff provided great service. There’s also a sauna and a small gym. Breakfast was tasty, though it could feel repetitive on a longer stay. This was my best hotel experience in Kajaani, and the only one I’ve had there.

It’s fine as a budget place when all you need is a decent night’s sleep. The bed was decent, the room was clean, and breakfast met expectations. Staff were kind and professional. The building feels a little dated and is due for renovation, so I wouldn’t choose it for the looks or a romantic getaway.

Breakfast was pretty good, and for the price we paid the hotel was still okay for a night near the city center. But the beds and pillows were really uncomfortable, and the rooms are old. The bathrooms need renovating soon. There’s no A/C, so it gets hot in summer, and staff aren’t available around the clock.

At a reasonable price, you get a full breakfast, free parking and a sauna. There’s also a shared microwave. The rooms are simple and clean, though a little dated.
