Clean, with good facilities.

The rooms are in good condition, so it works well for a stop on a trip. Just be aware that the kitchen and the toilet and shower facilities are shared.

It was very peaceful for sleeping, with maybe one other guest there besides us. The room and common areas were clean, though there was a faint chlorine smell in the shared spaces. I didn’t meet any staff, but they sent me arrival instructions by message. The building looks a little vague from the outside and is in an industrial area. A pretty good place to rest while traveling north.

The staff were friendly and flexible, and I appreciated that breakfast could be served at a time that suited the guest. It was porridge and bread with toppings, plus tea or coffee and biscuits, served in a separate dining area. The shared kitchen was a clean nook in the corridor with a fridge, dishes and a small stove. The guesthouse seems to have been a dormitory before, with locked rooms and shared kitchen and washing facilities, and it felt like a strange barracks in the depot area. The rooms looked like the pictures, but the beds and pillows were poor quality and dirty. The shared washroom had been cleaned but wasn’t tidy. The showers didn’t work properly, the floor was wavy, and the seams were dark and speckled. The value for the price wasn’t great.
