There wasn't even a ceiling light, so reading the books here was out of the question. The apartment was meant to face the sea, but it didn't. When I phoned the landlord, they were rude and sniffed at me. The customer service was awful. I won't be coming back.

The booking process and communication worked smoothly, and the accommodation was very clean, spacious and well equipped. It had a large balcony overlooking the sandbank and sea, plus a private sauna, bathroom, oven and dishwasher. Cleaning costs extra, so arrange that ahead if you don't want to do it on holiday. Bed linen and towels also need to be ordered with the booking or brought along; there weren't any towels. No Wi-Fi, and although the TV was good, I would've liked more channels.

The beach and services are nearby, and there's still plenty to do on cooler days. The surroundings were clean, but the apartment itself fell short on cleanliness. The bedspread on the double bed was disgustingly dirty, and there were big stains on the living room sofa. Reviews have mentioned these problems for a long time, yet nothing seems to have changed. The kitchen was otherwise well equipped, but a 2.5-liter saucepan is much too small for cooking for five. I would've liked a larger one.

I slept well in this quiet, clean and well-equipped room, and the sea view was lovely. It could use Wi-Fi and some cooling, though. In summer, the room gets really bright at night, so more blackout curtains would help.
