You can moor your own boat right in front of the hotel, which is in a marvelous spot. The place is nice and friendly, and the food and drinks were excellent. If you go, book the boat trip to Källskär directly through the hotel. The guide tells the island’s story, closely tied to Göran Åkerhielm, in a way you won’t forget 👍.

The setting and views were idyllic, and the service was exceptional. We stopped for a snack and a cold drink on our last afternoon cycling and kayaking around the Kökar islands. Karhu on tap was perfectly cold, and the sweet potato fries with béarnaise were a taste experience I can’t describe. Sweet potato fans, skeptics, and wannabes should all try them. I’ll be back to this amazing island in Åland!

The hotel was our starting point for a kayaking trip into the magnificent archipelago around Kökar, and we reached it by ferry. It’s a cozy wooden building, with welcoming staff and delicious food. Our room was clean and comfortable, with the feel of the archipelago.

The sauna was beautifully designed and relaxing, and the views were wonderful. I really enjoyed my stay, especially the delicious, beautifully prepared food and the very friendly, helpful staff. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

The food was wonderful and left all of us full, though the service was somewhat lacking. Maybe it was because we were a larger party, but our reservation didn’t seem to have been prepared for. There was a decent choice of drinks, but both the delivery and quality fell short. I’d still recommend it, perhaps because there aren’t many options.
