We had the perfect snowy, icy winter weather, and the cottage felt like a winter wonderland. It had everything our family needed, and then some. The rooms, setting, and location were all superb, with plenty of peace and quiet that left us feeling joyful. I’d recommend it to anyone after a great Finland/Kotka experience, as long as it’s not on the dates we’re there. We’ll be back.

Minna was our contact before and throughout the stay. She communicated excellently and helped with a few last-minute questions. The cottage is remote enough for walks around the neighborhood and lovely water views, yet Kotka is only about an 18-20 minute drive away. We walked around the small town and had a lovely dinner at one of its restaurants. There’s also a K-market about a five-minute drive away, which made picking up a few last-minute things easy. We had a wonderful time with our family and pup in this gorgeous cottage right by the water. The wood-burning fireplace and sauna were lovely, and we spent a lot of time in the dining room terrace. It has windows all around and is heated in winter, so it was a cozy place to watch the frozen water and snow. We’d love to come back in summer and see how the view changes with the season. I very much recommend the stay.

Tiutinen is a wonderful village to wander around and breathe in the fresh sea air. The cottage is nice, right beside the ocean, and although the neighbors are very close, they didn’t bother me at all. The sauna had the best “löyly” I’ve had in a while. I’d happily visit again anytime!

The view was lovely, and the beds were comfortable. I had two wonderful days there with my five friends in the cosy cottage.
