Myllykosken Kerho Oy

I was the only guest in Myllykosken Club, so I had the whole building to myself. Once a club for factory clerks, it still has the atmosphere of the 1930s, and staying there felt like a small trip into the past. The age is showing in parts of the structure, but the old tiled floors and carpets, tall rooms, and architecture by Wäinö Palmqvist make for a nostalgic and interesting stay. I'd recommend a visit to anyone interested in cultural history or Mannerheim's history, as well as people looking for somewhere to stay in Kymenlaakso.

The rooms are lovely and impressive, and there was plenty of space. We should have mentioned that we use a rollator to get inside, as the rocky outdoor stairs were difficult. They might have been able to arrange a ramp 🤔 The venue would work well for any kind of party.

The Mother's Day buffet was sadly a letdown. The hot food especially fell short, and only the dessert table earned the star I gave.

The sandwiches and carrot cakes were delicious, and the service was surely great.
