These old lodges were built as homes, not just holiday accommodation, and people once lived here year-round. They still have modern comforts while keeping their original character. It's a unique place to stay among greenery and wildlife, yet only a short drive from the pleasant little city of Kuhmo. The drive to Pykälä is a lovely way to experience Finland. Stopping in key cities along the way teaches you a lot about the country.
