Ruka-Kitkan lomamajat

The lake below the cottages is worth a swim, whether you visit in summer or winter. Oulanka National Park and the Ruka ski center are both within driving distance, so the location works for either season. We were three adults in a traditional wooden cottage for two nights. Some parts have been renovated, but it still has that Finnish summer cottage feel. There’s a sauna in the cottage, and you can also ask separately about using the lakeside sauna. Before leaving, you can clean the cottage yourself or pay about €45 for cleaning. Give it a try and enjoy living like a summer cottage owner.
