The cottage was nice and the service was good, but the sauna charge left a bit of a bad taste. The website said it was included in the price, so we shouldn’t have paid for it separately. We ended up having a long discussion to establish that it wasn’t billed separately. As a Finn, I’m used to a cottage sauna being included without an extra fee, so be careful when booking.

Villa Henna is right on the bank of a small river, with even a rapid at the edge of the property. We spotted a family of swans in the water, two adults and four young ones. Our one-night stay with our dog Tyyne was comfortable in the clean, cozy log cabin, which had a sauna and everything we needed. It was fully equipped and neatly kept outside, too. The road is close, but far enough away that traffic noise wasn’t an issue. Everything seemed well thought out for travelers. I can warmly recommend it.
