For fishing, I’d book the main cabin and use the boat. The sauna is shared by the main cabin and guest cabins 1 and 2. The guest house didn’t really work for us, though the log cabin itself was okay. Its interior felt like the 90s, the bed was worn out and needs to be burned, and the dishwasher didn’t work at all. Otherwise, the accommodation was okay. We spent a few days at the so-called Headquarters, and the place was nothing like the pictures and description had led me to expect. I barely noticed the cottage when we arrived, since it was tucked into bushes. The wooden terrace had ants everywhere, and its boards felt quite soft, with some new boards laid over them. Inside, more than half the light switches were useless. The toilet and washroom door locks were broken, and the toilet door itself was damaged. The washroom tiles sounded loose, and the drain didn’t work well, as if they’d tiled over the old floor. Upstairs, I couldn’t use the balcony because boards were missing; there were drip marks on the walls, apparently from water leaking in through it. The TV remote wouldn’t turn the TV off, and bright spots showed on the screen. The sofa frame was broken, and water from the fridge’s defrosting kept dripping onto the floor. The jetty was loose too, and I didn’t even dare check the outdoor sauna.

The cottage smelled moldy throughout, and the roof leaked without being repaired. It was a miserable place, hidden among bushes and nothing like the pictures. There were so many mosquitoes that sitting outside wasn’t an option. There had already been a lot of water damage. This is another cottage in Ostrobothnia that doesn’t meet today’s standards.

The house had bad air because there were no ventilation windows, and it smelled moldy. Inside, the toilet floor was broken, drawer interiors were dirty, door handles were broken, and half the lights didn’t work. The freezer was messy, with products left by previous residents. You couldn’t get out of the sauna because its door handles were broken. There was only one smoke alarm, and it was poorly placed. Outside, the beach sauna was very untidy, the pier was dangerous, and the children’s playhouse was moldy and in terrible condition. Water was dripping from the bay window roof.
