We had access to our own kitchen and a cozy shared living-room area, which worked really well for us. The building’s history is part of the experience and has been brought in nicely. Everything was clean, parking was free, and breakfast was very good. The staff were lovely and made our cat feel welcome too. It’s a delightful place in an area with a lot of history.

Check-in was pleasant, and the breakfast and sauna are included. The sauna is shared with other guests, and the rooms are on the small side. There’s also a public kitchen on the second floor.

We only stayed one night, but it was a very pleasant one. The room was clean and comfortable, and I liked the idea of each room being dedicated to a soldier. The location was a particular highlight, right by a great pizza place for lunch or dinner.

A charming little family-run hotel, with its history on display. The service felt very personal and helpful, and breakfast was fresh and different from what chain hotels offer. I fell for the place; it has more quality than its public rating suggests. One small thing: the building was once used by the military and is made of tiles, so some sounds carry through the walls. It wasn’t too disturbing.

We especially liked the decor, and the front desk staff were friendly, helpful, and kept us informed about the hotel. Our family room was clean and roomy even with the baby cot. There were plenty of breakfast choices and several baby seats, which we appreciated. We also spent time in the kids’ play room and Cafe Fanny. The location worked well for us, with an easy walk to the nearby mall and Tuju Taproom. We had an excellent stay at Hotelli Rakuuna and would definitely come back.
