The people running this hostel are welcoming and friendly, and it’s clean. Most rooms have a shower, toilet and Wi-Fi. But sound carries straight through the walls and from the corridor. The cheap rates seem to draw noisy drinkers who shout and play music, so getting proper sleep was impossible.

It was surprisingly quiet inside and outside, despite where the hostel is, and the place was cozy and very clean. The kitchen has everything you need, and it’s handy for going into town, visiting the spa or shopping. My only real issue was how incredibly soft the mattresses were, which is why I gave it four stars. I’d recommend it.

Handy for a night on the way to northern Lapland. It was clean and comfortable, though the ground-floor kitchen in the main building felt a little clunky. You can turn up without bionics: keys for the available rooms are left on the reception door, with the price shown.

Good value, and the sauna was a nice extra. The place has a cozy feel, with clean rooms that include a shower, toilet, TV and Wi-Fi. The kitchen is stocked with everything from cutlery and plates to appliances. I’d recommend it.

We only ended up stopping because we were visiting the car museum, but I’m glad we saw this place too. It has an old-time feel, with cheerful staff, and makes a pleasant coffee stop. There’s also a shop next door selling old items and dishes.
