Strandbergs Stugor

A little piece of heaven, so peaceful, and you can walk to both the city centre and the grocery store. The staff were helpful and accommodating whenever we needed them. I’d really recommend staying here if you’re planning a trip to Mariehamn.

The grounds are exceptionally clean and well kept. From outside, you might wonder which harbour back yard you’ve ended up in, but through the gate there’s a green oasis with cute wooden cabins, a beach, a pool, and other thoughtful touches. The only letdown was that we didn’t meet the local cat 😺. This is the kind of place you almost want to keep secret so it won’t be crowded when you come back. Highly recommend!

Even in high season, it was peaceful, and the houses had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and more. We had bikes, a BBQ, and sauna available at very cheap prices, and the pool was amazing. The private beach was simply awesome, with clear water and smooth white sand. Downtown is a short walk away, and the main buses stop nearby. Our house didn’t have light-blocking curtains, though. We managed to cover the light as best we could, but curtains fitted to the windows and doors would be perfect. An amazing stay in Åland, and hopefully we can come back soon 🤞

The cabin had a lovely, idyllic feel, and the host was great. We could easily walk to the city centre, and bikes were available to rent. Everything went smoothly, and the sauna was great too!
