Naantali and the hotel were both peaceful when I visited in the off season. The place feels wonderfully cozy right in the middle of town, and the old fashioned look, inspired by Jouni's grandparents, really does bring out that nostalgic feeling. Jouni was kind and gave good service. Breakfast was lovely too, with Finnish staples like porridge, ruisleipä, cheese and meats, plus croissants and jam.

A short walk from Muumin island, this is a clean, cozy place with really friendly staff. It has the feel of a Nordic country house, right down to the creaky floorboards and all the crochet art.

The family who owned the place were wonderful, and it was close to everything. We stayed for several days in August 2012. The bedroom had a lovely historic feel, while the bathroom had been recently updated, which was very nice. Breakfast was very Finnish, in the best way. We found out how much we liked rye bread and cheese in the morning. We hope to return to Naantali someday, and we'd stay here again if we do.

The wooden floors, window frames and furniture all seem to speak when you touch them. That old house has its own life, full of the smell of summer. Even though it was so many years and thousands of kilometers from my grandma's country house in another country, being here felt like visiting it. I could rest my heart and relax my soul. Thank you for keeping this beautiful business going through such difficult times.

We slept comfortably, and the baths were comfortable too. The breakfasts were delicious and the location was great. It's a beautiful hotel in an old wooden house, furnished with a lot of care. I highly recommend it!
