The kitchen made meal prep easy, with an induction cooktop, microwave, electric kettle, and plenty of plates. We paid 40 EUR for two adults in a campervan, including electricity, and the facilities were decent: three separate showers and toilets in individual cubicles. Water pressure was average. A curtain between the changing area and shower would’ve been useful, but it worked fine. The sauna costs extra and needs to be booked separately. I was disappointed by the value. The site wasn’t as close to the lake as I expected, and it took quite a walk to get to the water. From our pitch we mostly saw the igloo village, and the premises looked unattractive during our visit. The setting might suit winter aurora watching better. The pricing also seemed odd: cottages were only 45 EUR compared with 40 EUR for a campervan. Without the sauna, what you get feels overpriced. Given the location and views, 20-30 EUR would seem more appropriate.

We spent two nights in a little hut with three people, and everything was just right. It warmed up easily, the shared facilities were clean, and the showers were hot. The location is absolutely beautiful.

The staff were super nice and the facilities clean. There are lovely wooden cottages, an igloo, and a tent area near a quiet lake with a pontoon and sandy beach. Ranua centre is only a few kilometres away.

If you’re on a budget, the basic cabin worked fine for me at 41 euros a night for two people. The beds were comfortable, and there’s a table with two stools for eating and drinking. There’s no air con, so bring your own pillows, towels, and a fan. The cabin gets very hot and could use a portable fan. Each room has two power sockets, a night light, a small indoor light, and an outside light. The toilet and shared kitchen are about a two-minute walk away. An igloo costs 248 euros and includes everything plus breakfast in the morning. The staff were sweet and helpful. Bring mosquito repellent or a net, though, because it’s a rough night if you’re someone who gets bitten 😅.
