Hotel Sea Front

The restaurant food is great, the staff are very polite, and there’s a sauna. The view depends on the room, since some look out over the parking lot. The rooms could perhaps be cleaner, and don’t have a safe or freezer, though guests can share one in the lounge. It’s also pet friendly.

I found the hotel clean and the staff friendly, but it felt overpriced for its location and facilities. Hotels in central Tammisaari right by the sea have working restaurants and rooms at half the price. When I was looking around, I was told to leave the restaurant area. There was a “restaurant” sign above the entrance, but staff said that part of the hotel was for personnel only. When I explained I was checking out the restaurant, they told me it wasn’t open anymore. Since the hotel is a good one or two kilometers from any place to eat, you’d have to be hungry and ready for a long walk, or make do from breakfast until breakfast the next day.

We showed up on Friday for a sauna booking I’d made for my friends, but they had no record of it and hadn’t warmed the sauna as agreed. We left without using it. Before that, I’d tried emailing several times and heard nothing. When I called, they told me their emails don’t reach Gmail addresses, but didn’t seem especially bothered or to be fixing the problem. The service feels chaotic. Do they even care about running this business?

The hotel looked nice and had a good view, but they messed up our booking. We ended up at a motel in town instead, so we’re really unhappy!
