The lake and quiet natural setting made this a lovely break. We spent time hiking and fishing, and also enjoyed just relaxing by the water. Our accommodation was comfortable and had what we needed, and the hosts were welcoming and attentive throughout. Rämäkkä Holidays made for a memorable, restorative stay. I’d happily recommend it.

After our bike ride, we wound down in the wooden sauna by the beach and enjoyed refreshments on its veranda. The place itself is peaceful, and the service was friendly and flexible. We’ll definitely return, and I’d recommend it to others.

We visited in the off season, when Rämäkkä was quiet. Although the petting zoo was officially closed, we could still see the animals, who were curious and came close. That was a great experience. The restaurant was also officially closed, but when the owner was there taking care of things, she offered us coffee anyway. There are cottages and apartments to rent, a beach sauna, a caravan park, and a petting zoo with all kinds of animals. The restaurant opens during high season. The owners were really nice and helpful, too. Thanks, Rämäkkä, we’ll definitely come back. Highly recommend it.

It’s a clean, small room, fine for one night. In summer it gets stiflingly hot, with no ventilation or mechanical air conditioning. There aren’t many power outlets, and their placement makes charging awkward. The beds also have no reading lights.
