Santa Claus Holiday Village

Our visit to Santa Claus Holiday Village was deeply disappointing, especially because of what happened at the Three Elves Restaurant. When we came in through the main entrance, there was no staff member to greet us or show us to a table. We calmly sat at an available one with our young son. From a distance, Alexandros called out in a hostile, condescending way, asking who had let us sit there and “how we dared” to take that table. He didn’t even come over to speak to us. His expression and manner felt dismissive and humiliating, as if we had done something wrong just by sitting down when nobody was there to guide us. We choose hotels like this for warm, family-friendly hospitality. Being spoken to disrespectfully in front of our child was upsetting. Paying guests should be treated with basic courtesy and professionalism. Arrogance and disdain have no place in hospitality, especially at a hotel whose concept is built around magic, kindness and the spirit of Christmas. This experience went against that atmosphere. We travel often and rarely leave negative reviews, but respectful service is a basic expectation. We hope management takes this seriously. No guest should be belittled for something caused by the lack of staff guidance. We can’t recommend this hotel if you want a cosy, respectful atmosphere, and would strongly suggest choosing another place for lunch. We hope other families are treated with the kindness and dignity every guest deserves.

The chance to meet Santa himself was a special moment for both the children and adults. Santa Claus Holiday Village is a magical family destination, with lots for kids to do, a festive feel and plenty to explore together. We found the food options good, with something for everyone, and the whole visit felt welcoming and well organized. Highly recommended for a memorable family trip to Lapland! 🎄

We went in February, and it really did feel like a winter fairytale ❄️ There are lots of souvenir shops with a great range of gifts, as well as restaurants, cafés and hotel accommodation. Kids can enjoy winter activities like sledding, reindeer rides and husky experiences. It’s a first-class tourist destination, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rovaniemi!

There was so much snow, and we even saw Santa driving around the village 🎅 It’s a magical place, with a great location close to everything. Our room had a lovely sauna and was super warm, just the thing if you’re freezing. There’s loads for kids of all ages to see and do, and you can even buy a sled to play in the snow ❄️⛄
