After days out at Kuusamo's attractions, it was lovely to spend the evening back at the cottage by the fire. The place was clean and had everything we needed, and it's right beside the Ruka ski resort. We'd happily return.

It was easy to find shops nearby, or drive about 20 minutes to Kuusamo for Prisma. The cabin is quiet and close to the lake, with a barbecue, firewood for the stove, and a sauna. It stayed very warm, even though the weather often gets chilly. There's also a decent music center, and Russian-song karaoke is available 1 km away. Bed linen costs extra.

A great cottage with all the basics you need. It sleeps 8, and you could fit in more children if you wanted.
