The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, and the hotel’s staff and beautiful surroundings made for a great stay. I was very pleased and hope to come back for a longer visit. Everything about the hotel was exceptional.

The cottages were fresh and nicely cleaned. Breakfast was great too, so I can’t complain about the food 👍 But we were disgusted when we went in for breakfast and found every table covered with dirty plates and leftovers. I’d ask that the tables be cleared more often between people and families.

There are loads of different activities nearby, so I’d say there’s something for everyone. The spa is a good one to visit, compact but fitting a lot into a small space, with plenty of saunas and places to relax. There’s less swimming and water fun. The hotel rooms are older and no longer at a luxury standard. Breakfast was disappointing compared with other Finnish hotels I’ve visited recently. They’d need to step it up a lot to get it to the level it should be.

The location is nice, though the parking could be better. The sauna experience was disappointing again: the saunas barely got warm, and several controls or devices weren't working. I left feedback after my last visit, but it doesn't seem to have been treated as a problem. A place with a “sauna world” should offer proper heat, not temperatures set for infants. The smoke saunas and outdoor pool were closed. I can't recommend it right now.

We had a lovely holiday with family and friends at Holiday Club Katinkulta. The cabin at Hiekkaniemi was excellent and well equipped, with its own BBQ. There's a lot to do in the area: tennis, badminton, padel and squash indoors, plus a gym, bowling, frisbee golf, golf, minigolf, SUP boarding, cycling and hiking. In winter there's cross-country skiing and downhill skiing, though the downhill hill is quite small. There are several restaurants and good supermarkets nearby. The spa has family pools, a jacuzzi, a 25m training pool and a family sauna world with 4-5 types of saunas, including outdoor ones. They're decent with swimsuits on. It's one of the best places to enjoy Finnish summer and nature. Service was occasionally very slow, and some people seemed cranky, maybe tired. Like many hotels and restaurants in Finland, they may be short-staffed.
