Courtyard by Marriott Tampere City

Everything worked fine, though nothing stood out. Check-in was very quick, the rooms were clean enough, and breakfast was sufficient. There was space around 7.10, and the location was quite good. I had a look at the gym too, but it was far too small and crowded.

The rooms and bed were nice, and the hotel felt modern and clean. The main lobby worked for business calls, though I wished there were a smaller lobby on the room floors for that. Breakfast was the biggest disappointment. It was very basic, and instead of the local black sausage, I'd have preferred something more familiar to everyone, like Karelian rice pasty, if they were going to serve a Finnish item. The city centre is about a 15-minute walk.

It's a 15-minute walk from the train station, and the rooms are large by European standards. Breakfast was decent. The climate control and water temperature had the usual restrictions, and the shower pressure was a bit of a challenge.

It's a fine hotel, about what you'd expect from a Courtyard. I was sorry there was no sauna, and you can't open the bedroom windows. It also would've been nice to know at check-in that room cleaning only happened every 4th day, maybe.
