The evening buffet runs from 4 PM to 6:30 PM and costs just 15 euros. There was a variety of dishes, including things I’d probably have struggled to find elsewhere in the city. Breakfast was also a highlight for me: a good range of savory options, sausages, potatoes and cold cuts, plus delicious pancakes with Nutella or jam. There were cookies and coffee too, so I was very happy with it. I booked at the last minute and felt a bit disappointed when I realized on arrival that it was a hospital hotel. But I felt at ease as soon as I went in. The receptionist was incredibly sweet and calmed me down, even though I’d been a bit brusque at first while asking why that hadn’t been mentioned. I’m a curious person, and although this wasn’t my ideal choice, it turned out to be fantastic. The hotel was spotless and very quiet. It’s outside the city center, so it may not suit you if you want to be right in the middle of town without taking a bus. But if you want to save money and have a neat, relaxing place to stay, it’s a great option. I paid only 100€ per night with breakfast included, which was a great deal.

The room and hotel were clean and quiet, in a convenient spot near the lake. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the staff were friendly, but they didn’t seem very willing to help guests or sort out problems. I was disappointed that the hotel seems to avoid issuing invoices. I hadn’t mentioned needing one when I booked, but I clearly asked for it at check-in. There were other guests waiting, so the receptionist wrote the hotel’s email address on a note, the same one with the breakfast information, and asked me to send the company details there. I emailed them that evening and still haven’t received the invoice.

The beds were good and the shower room was fine. The price was fairly good for July, and the tram goes straight into the city. We weren’t bothered by the fact that it’s a patient hotel. But reception service was frosty, and the room wasn’t cleaned for two days. Breakfast was OK if you eat meat, but there was nothing for vegans and very little gluten-free food. The WiFi was appalling, so I couldn’t get any work done. Aside from the bad-tempered reception staff, it was an OK hotel.

I stayed for three days and the room wasn’t cleaned once. The bins were overflowing, the pillows were very uncomfortable, and breakfast was terrible.
