My room was spacious, with a big window looking out over the lake and the velvety night sky. It almost felt like I was far from the city. The location is picturesque, with a lovely view and great walking opportunities. Breakfast was delicious and vegetarian-friendly. The hotel is nice, and you can borrow a bathrobe for a small fee. Just be aware there’s no kettle, only small cups for tea. I found that hard to deal with 😅

I enjoyed the food, especially the delicious lohikeitto at dinner and the tasty mustamakkara at breakfast. It was a good stay: my room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped.

The staff were the bright spot on my business trip. They were very helpful and did their best, even bringing me a heater quickly when I felt cold. Breakfast was acceptable by European standards, okay but nothing great. Free parking and easy access were handy for work. The hotel itself feels old and wasn’t very clean, especially the bed, which disappointed me. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, and the TV wasn’t working well either. The facilities really need improvement, though the staff keep the place running.

Breakfast was super, with all the things I want: different kinds of eggs, bacons, cheeses, ham, bread, rolls, and vegetables. They also serve black sausage and carelian pies with egg butter, both so delicious. The reception was quick and friendly. The hotel is a bit old and nothing fancy, but has what you need. There’s a pool area in the basement and a very small gym, plus two small, cozy beaches just around the corner. Guests can park for free. Get a parking permission from the lobby and put it in your car’s windshield.
