The breakfast had standard options, but the dining area was extremely crowded and felt very focused on families. Since we stayed Saturday night, we’d hoped for some evening entertainment, perhaps at the bar or with billiards, but most facilities seemed to close around 10:00 p.m. The hotel was very quiet after that. We stayed here on 2 May 2026. Customer service was acceptable and polite, but not especially memorable. Having been to several spa hotels around Finland, we found this place much more family-oriented than suited to couples wanting a peaceful weekend. In the morning, children ran, shouted, and played in the hallways near the guest rooms. We’re on vacation and like slow mornings and sleeping later, so the noise made that impossible. Families with children may find it an excellent choice, but couples after a quiet, romantic, or premium spa experience might not. We booked a superior room and expected it to feel noticeably better than a standard one. They did accommodate our request for a bathtub, but the interior and atmosphere felt basic and worn down, not what we expected from a superior category in Finland.

The pool area had no food or drink service, and by the middle of the day most shower gel dispensers were empty. I eventually found one with what I assume was shower gel, and it completely ruined my hair. Honestly, the spa at Hotel Caribian was a bit embarrassing. Of the six pools, only two small ones were even slightly warm. Everyone crowded into them, while the other four sat empty because the water was uncomfortably cold and people were avoiding them. The whole experience was far below what you’d expect from a hotel spa.

Run-down, and there was no service at the hotel or waterpark on a Friday afternoon. What kind of bad joke is this? There are much better waterpark hotels around Turku, and Kakola Spa if you’re not travelling with children. No thanks, just shut it down.

The swimming area is awesome, and the kids loved it 👍👍. Still, we tried this place and it looked much better than it felt. We couldn’t block the windows with the curtains, the shower was broken, and we had to pay 15€ per day for staying there without a car. Using the swimming area cost another 50€/day, even though we were quite sure we’d already paid for all of that. It seemed among the cheapest hotels at first, but turned out very expensive.
