The lunch restaurant is good value, and the food is genuinely tasty. Hotel guests can use the gym and bicycles, and there's a sauna and pool area for disabled guests. This rehabilitation center is on beautiful Hirvensalo Island in Turku, with services nearby, a beach next door, and good outdoor areas. I recommend it.

On our third and final seven-day stay, which ended July 26, the group was mostly the same, with perhaps one couple gone. MeriKarina did its best again, and the food was delicious. We had cold, homemade beer to drink, swam in the sea for the first time, and there were daily outdoor activities for those able to join. Visiting the wooden church made us quiet. Swans on the water and a deer right under our window brought wild nature within 5 m of us. We spent a week here in February-March for the first time, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. We had our own room and bathroom, beds with bedside tables, and keys so we could lock the door when we went out. The large dining room had a buffet full of delicious home-cooked food from their own kitchen, with varied salads and breads. The drinks were homemade, and the coffee and coffee sandwiches were good. A group table formed quickly, and there was a daily program for both caregivers and patients. The leaders were professional and gave everyone a chance to speak. The beach speaker playing nature sounds spoiled what would otherwise have been a lovely evening there. Nature already makes its own sounds, so why have the speaker? I picked this place because it was described as a four-star hotel by the sea, but the room felt like a hospital room, with two Euro blankets from Ikea. The room could have been decorated better too. No points for this.

The restaurant ran smoothly and the food was really delicious. The location was great, the conference facilities were good, the rooms were clean and well equipped, and the staff were very friendly.
