Holiday Village Valle

We had a lovely time relaxing here and taking in the beautiful northern Finland setting. Holiday Village Valle in Utsjoki has comfortable, modern rooms and a cozy restaurant with delicious local food. A fantastic hotel with top-quality accommodation.

The lights kept going for hours each night, an unbelievable display. We could watch the Aurora right from the warmth of our room, or head next door to a wooden tour with fantastic panoramic views of the Aurora and the bridge to Norway. Breakfast by candlelight came with a lovely view of the frozen river Teno, which borders Norway and flows into the Arctic Sea. There were plant-based options, and the staff were warm, kind, and helpful. It’s peaceful here, and excellent value for money.

The cottage terrace has a beautiful view of the Tana river and the big hill on the Norwegian side. I spent a comfortable week in one of the cottages. The rooms and cottages were spotless, clean, and new. It’s useful to know that the price at Valle includes bedclothes, toiletries like soap, shampoo, towels and toilet paper, plus final cleaning. At many other Finnish cottages you have to bring these things and do the cleaning yourself.

It’s surprisingly quiet here despite the road on both sides of the river, and the view over the Teno river is awesome. The rooms are modern and very clean, and the staff are really nice. A very pleasant hotel, highly recommended. They also have cabins if you want more privacy.
