Apianlahti Camping

There’s a nice lake and a small playground, but the site itself is small and the facilities are basic. There isn’t much room for tents, so it could be an issue in peak season. At other times, it’s fine.

The kayaking was a highlight. The equipment from Mallasveden melojat was in mint condition, and on a sunny day the scenery really helps you unwind and puts a big smile on your face. It’s a great place for water sports and camping, with a little café/restaurant too, and it’s super close to Tampere. I’d recommend it for a quick cruise of a few hours or a full day out. Definitely worth a visit!

The owner is kind, and the prices are good. There are useful extras like bike rentals and a public fire pit, alongside well-maintained facilities. Wi-Fi reaches across the whole property. Easily the best camping spot I’ve stayed at in Finland.

The cottages are spacious and have saunas, as you’d expect. It’s also quite close to the city center. The Wi-Fi only works near reception, though.
