I really enjoyed the lake and forest hikes, and the location was great. The breakfast was pretty basic, with little choice. Our shower ran on sensors with no manual control, and it took minutes to switch off, wasting a lot of water and energy. The sauna wasn’t working either. No one cleaned our room, so we swept it ourselves and went to the laundry room to find dry towels. For the room price, I expected a bit more service.

A lovely place to stay while exploring Nuuksio park. Our room had a beautiful lake view and all the amenities we needed. We had an amazing time at the hotel.

We had reserved three nights, but checked out the first morning because the place felt completely misrepresented. There was nothing remotely resort-like about it, or even hotel-like. From our afternoon arrival until around 8:30 the next morning, there were no staff or services. The previous guest's garbage was still in our room. When I tried to reach customer service, I could only deal with a chatbot. I emailed them too and never got a reply. The kitchenette was just a tiny microwave, four bowls, spoons, and knives, with no forks. Breakfast was a pot of something warm and a few rolls. If you like feeling as though nobody cares about you, this is the place. The invoice, I think, mentioned AirBnB, which might explain a lot.

It's a quaint hotel with well-maintained facilities that are being improved and updated. The saunas are excellent, and I'd recommend hiking nearby. Though it's a little off the beaten path, there are great views and a chance to spend time in nature. I'm visiting from the United States, and it was eye-opening to see how connected people are to nature here, compared with back home. I was told there are usually more corporate events, and I suggested my friends bring their business here for a retreat. Definitely worth a stay if you're in the area.
