The Fiji Orchid

With only six bures, The Fiji Orchid feels intimate and never crowded, and it’s a lovely place to unwind. We arrived and felt relaxed right away. The peaceful, quiet setting was exactly what we wanted, and the adults only atmosphere made it feel even more serene. The staff were outstanding, warm and genuinely welcoming. They took care of everything, and you can tell they take pride in making your stay memorable. For a tranquil boutique style escape with amazing service, The Fiji Orchid is a gem. We’d go back in a heartbeat.

The pool is beautiful and inviting, perfect for a morning swim or a lazy day beside it. Breakfast is included, and we loved having choices. Dinner was fresh, simple but inventive, and we always saved room for dessert. The beds are super comfortable, too. Fiji Orchid is a lovely oasis, with six bures and a dining room surrounded by tropical plants and birds. The kindest people made sure our stay felt like a real Fijian experience. We spent ten days there because we had family in hospital in Lautoka. We rented a car, but the hotel also has a car service, and taxis can be called quickly. Deepika made sure we had what we needed, while Ledge. Lo..Mere..Maria. Evany and the rest of the lovely staff treated us like family. I’ve been to Fiji many times and stayed at resorts on the water. I was fine not to swim at the nearby beach because being on the property felt calming and relaxing. I highly recommend Fiji Orchid and thank them so much for everything.

I’ve been waiting patiently for over six months for a promised refund of more than $1000. The general manager, Deepika, has repeatedly said our money would be returned, but it still hasn’t happened. I’ve sent email after email asking for the refund we’re owed. Each time I was told it would be “processed,” week after week, month after month. Now my emails, which I send almost daily, are being ignored. I also asked for the owners’ contact details and got no response. Booking.com, the booking partner, stepped in and asked Fiji Orchid to provide the promised refund, but those requests have been ignored too. This is exceptionally poor customer service. I’ll keep chasing the refund until I receive it. The money doesn’t belong to Fiji Orchid, and I want it back. Refusing to return customers’ money is a terrible look for a tourist resort. We really liked the feel of the place, how clean the rooms were, and how friendly the staff were. Dinner was excellent. Our arrival transfer from the airport and the ride to the cruise port the next day were included, too. Before leaving for the port, we loved relaxing by the pool. I’d absolutely stay here again.
