Wyndham Garden Wailoaloa Beach Fiji

The staff made our 11 days at Wyndham Garden Wailoaloa Beach especially enjoyable. Everyone was friendly and greeted us with a smile. The restaurant team deserves a mention too: the food was delicious, especially the pizza and Asian dishes, and service was much quicker than at other nearby places we tried. The rooms and shared areas were spotless, a 10/10 for cleanliness. It was comfortable, high quality, and stress-free. The travel desk team were fantastic as well, and we went on two tours with them. Highly recommended!

The people at Wyndham Gardens made our six nights memorable. Bula and Vinaka felt like more than greetings, the staff really lived that warmth. We were four guests, and everyone showed genuine care and made us feel valued. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with fresh towels and toiletries replaced each day by the third-floor housekeeping team, Laniana, Bulou & Inoc. After a long day out, coming back to a clean, tidy room and bed was such a joy. We had gorgeous views of Nadi Bay, the gardens, and Wailoaloa Beach. The property is minutes from Nadi International airport, away from city bustle, with waves and wind, a lovely shoreline walk, and watersports nearby. Nadi attractions, dining, and watering holes are a short drive away. There were so many staff members who helped us. Asenaca answered our many emails promptly, Peni the bell boy welcomed us in, and Mili and a colleague checked us in without delay. The staff at Jasmine handled the generous breakfast buffet efficiently. Milinia was graceful and resourceful, Agnes had an infectious smile and made fabulous coffee, and Perry, Ram, and Bulou from F & B were warm and friendly. Vilimaina and Vasemaca sorted out our tour and transport questions efficiently. Shazia and Avinesh Kumar were supportive and helpful after a minor accident outside the Wyndham premises. My apologies to anyone whose name I haven’t remembered. We loved every minute and would choose Wyndham Gardens Wailoaloa beach again for a stay in Nadi, Fiji. Our room was spotless and the bed was extremely comfortable, so it worked well as a place to rest before continuing our trip. We spent two nights at the Wyndham Garden in Nadi before going to the Yasawa Islands. It’s handy for a short stop before a flight or boat, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer holiday or a proper Fijian getaway. There isn’t much to see or do nearby, and the area feels bare and unfinished. Most of the surrounding properties and hotels are still being built. Maybe it’ll be more developed in a few years, but for now it feels odd and barren. The beach in front is muddy, not the turquoise water and white sand people might picture, and it doesn’t seem suited to swimming or lounging. Meals were just okay and not memorable. Breakfast was a basic buffet with eggs, toast, fruit, and similar items. It’s fine as a clean, comfortable stopover, but not really a destination resort.

We had a great time at lunch. The location was beautiful, the staff welcoming, and the food tasted awesome. Drinks took too long, though, and the food delay was close to three hours. Forty-five minutes after we ordered, we were told my partner’s dish wasn’t available. His replacement arrived an hour later, then my meal and another dish for him came another hour after that, after we followed up. They didn’t charge us for his extra dish, which was good. The food, vibe, and staff were lovely, but the rest needs serious attention. We’d still go back, hoping this was a one-off.
